International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, 25 November

Between 25 November and 10 December 2019, the building of the Embassy of Romania in Copenhagen is lit in the colour orange to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

This is a joint project of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania and the non – governmental organisation Soroptimist International, in the framework of the UN international campaign “Orange the World”.

The colour orange stands for hope and for a brighter future, without violence against women.

Through this project, Romania joins its efforts, once again, with all countries, including Denmark, which are actively promoting the elimination of violence against women worldwide.
